Katie graduated from the University of Oklahoma with her BA and MA in International Studies in 2017. She focused her studies on the Middle East and studied Arabic and spent time in Turkey and Jordan. Katie interned for The Carter Center's Conflict Resolution Program, where she fell in love with working in conflict resolution and prevention. She currently works for an international development non-profit and hopes to someday get a PhD in Conflict Resolution.
In her free time, Katie loves to travel, drink copious amounts of chai while reading, run, and play with her Australian Cattle Dog puppy.
Melodie graduated from the University of Oklahoma with her BA in International Studies and minors in Arabic and Religious Studies in 2016. She has a heart for the Middle East and spent a semester studying abroad in Jerusalem. After graduating, Melodie spent a year working in Refugee Resettlement at Catholic Charities of Oklahoma City. She now holds a certification to teach English as a second language (ESL) and is currently teaching ESL at an elementary school in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Melodie loves adding new stamps in her passport with her husband, reading in her personal library, coffee dates with friends, and eating clean and healthy.
